James Toseland Andy has been traveling the length and breadth of the country recently interviewing stars of screen, pitch and track for Gaff.TV including conducting an hour long interview with Ashley Cole and becoming best friends with Tinchy Stryder and Ruff Squad. Andy has also been busy filming a travel series for Guardian.co.uk and screen testing for T4, The National Lottery and Something For The Weekend, to much appraisal. You could say that Andy Shepherd was a bit of a child star. Long before X Factor, Andy appeared on the National Young Choir Of The Year. However he didn't actually appear on the stage. Moments before he was due to go on, his Choir Master casually informed him; "Andy, this is a big competition. It's on TV. Millions of people will be watching. We want to be good. I think it's better if you don't come up with us. You really can't sing" So little 7 year old Andy appeared sitting in the audience, crying. He did get a hug off Gaby Roslin though, so, every cloud... Tasting stardom at such an early age, Andy knew appearing on TV was his calling. Singing, crying or talking, he'd get there one day. Upon his release from the psychiatric care home following choir-gate, Andy moved to the bright lights of London to chase his dream. He was soon working with some of the leading TV and film companies in town finding a permanent home with Simon Pegg's production company, Big Talk. Here he worked on some of the finest comedy films and TV shows produced… but he still longed to be in front of the camera. Making videos in his own time, along with documenting behind the scenes of some of the productions, he honed his on camera skills. Soon he was no longer able to just cry in front of a camera, he could SPEAK! His online videos brought him to the attention of TV bods and he was soon appearing on Channel 4, BBC 3 and Bravo.
