A Tribute to Mark Speight
A message from the Speight family:
"On behalf of all the Speight family, we wish to convey our sincere thanks to the BBC, friends and colleagues together with all the children and families who have supported Mark throughout his career, and in particular during these recent difficult times.
Mark was a wonderful son and brother to his family and he will be very sadly missed.
We need to come to terms with our grief at the loss of both Mark and Natasha and would ask that you respectfully afford us the privacy to grieve privately during this tragic time."
Oliver Speight (Mark's father)
A message and tribute from Jan Kennedy at Billy Marsh Associates:
We are absolutely devastated at the tragic news of the loss of Mark and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family as well as the family of his beloved fiancée, Natasha, whose equally tragic death had affected him so inconsolably.
Caring and compassionate in everything he did, Mark was truly gifted in life and we are proud to have represented him as a friend and client for almost twenty years. He was blessed with a remarkable personality, great artistic talents and the wonderful warm ability to communicate those skills with people, especially children of all ages.
Lisa Ratcliff, friend and colleague to Mark, said, "having worked with Mark for over ten years, and been a personal friend, I am deeply affected by this terrible tragedy. Mark was a wonderful man, a gifted artiste with a warm and gentle personality, who touched the lives of so many people with his unique skills and talents. My thoughts are with Mark’s family, Natasha’s family and all of Mark’s friends and colleagues who, like me, are grieving profoundly at this tragic loss."
With his sensitivity of spirit, coupled with his dynamic presence and natural enthusiasm he was loved and respected by his adoring family, friends and colleagues everywhere in the media who like us, are all deeply shocked and distressed at this saddest of news. |
