Ever popular from Rolf’s Amazing World of Animals, Rosemarie became a household name as the hostess on Bruce Forsyth’s The Generation Game and as the presenter of the very popular Come Dancing. Rosemarie Ford is also an outstandingly talented singer and dancer with many lead West End roles to her credit.

Rosemarie has played the lead in West End productions of Cats, Can-Can and Me and My Girl and appeared in numerous other London shows including Time, Street Scene, Is There Life After High School, and Juke Box. Touring productions include Song and Dance as well as the lead in Divorce Me Darling at the Chichester Theatre. She starred with Sacha Distel on a highly successful concert tour Golden Songs of the Silver Screen.

She also starred in The Greatest Shows in Town which ran to great acclaim. Rosemarie also appeared as ‘Bombalurina’ in the smash hit video of the musical Cats which has since been broadcast on television.

With her stunning good looks and vibrant personality, she has been a popular guest star in several Royal Variety performances, Night of 100 Stars (ITV1) and in A Celebration of the Sound of Music for BBC1.

Rosemarie was thrilled to be asked to work with Rolf Harris on Cat Crazy for Carlton TV and following the success of this show, BBC Television immediately signed Rosemarie as co-presenter on Rolf’s Amazing World of Animals. Rosemarie has presented the Eukanuba Dog Rescue of the year Award to which she takes her own rescued dogs.

Rosemarie proved herself not just talented but practical too, when she presented DIY Dilemmas, her own DIY slot on GMTV.

Her wide ranging television appearances include Drop the Dead Donkey, Comic Relief, Surprise, Surprise, Harry Enfield and Noel’s House Party as well as a spell with Chris Evans as a guest presenter of The Big Breakfast, when her unaffected style and natural warmth with people earned much admiration. She was of course the perfect choice to appear alongside Bruce Forsyth in Bruce’s Guest Night and The Bruce Forsyth Special.

Rosemarie thoroughly enjoys radio work and has presented the Radio 2 series Do You Come Here Often as well as Radio 2 Tea Dance and Strictly Tempo. In 1991, she realised her life’s greatest ambition when her album I Wanna Dance with Somebody was released on the Dover label.

Rosemarie is now also the proud and happy mother of Sam and Jamie.
